Chapter 831
Chapter 834:
She crossed her arms and probed, “Miss Olson, have you ever even held his hand?”
Candice exuded unwavering confidence, bolstered by Milton’s revelation that his first sexual experience was with her on Greyson and her wedding night. This knowledge fortified her against any attempts by Sigrid to usurp her position.
Little did Sigrid anticipate that Candice would unabashedly expose her deepest shame. Sigrid’s grand plan to flaunt her romantic relationship with Milton crumbled, for they had never even held hands. Milton’s severe mysophobia rendered him practically untouchable, a fact that vexed and perturbed Sigrid to no end!
Candice’s relentless provocations ignited a seething rage within Sigrid, transforming her face into a canvas of pallor, turning purple and blue, while veins bulged on her neck like meandering rivers.
And in a moment devoid of the grace befitting a socialite diva, Sigrid lunged at Candice, clutching her long tresses.
Only women of low stature resorted to hair-pulling in their skirmishes.
Candice winced as Sigrid’s grip inflicted pain on her scalp. She yearned to retaliate, but the disadvantageous position of having her hair yanked made it arduous to employ her Taekwondo skills.
Like a shrew, Sigrid hurled curses, “You shameless bitch! How dare you seduce my man, you wretched creature!” Sigrid’s intention was to slap Candice in the face.
However, before her hand could descend, a sudden intervention arrested her motion. Someone had grasped her wrist with an iron grip.
“Ouch! That hurts!” Sigrid yelped, her wrist seemingly on the brink of fracture, while tears welled up from the pain. Compelled by the torment, she relinquished her hold on Candice’s hair.

“Who dares interfere!” Sigrid’s anger propelled her to spin around, and she was struck with astonishment at the sight that awaited her gaze. Candice, too, turned her attention to the individual who had halted Sigrid’s assault. A stranger stood before them, tall and possessing an angular countenance, evoking an image of a celestial hybrid. His eyes, as blue as the frozen depths, radiated with a stellar brilliance, drawing her in like an irresistible gravitational force amidst the Milky Way.
In this bewildering moment, Candice remained on guard, her confusion mingling with vigilance.
The enigmatic man looked at Candice from head to toe, genuine admiration evident in his azure eyes.
With a warm smile, he offered his apologies. “I beg your pardon, fair lady. My sister’s behavior today has been most inappropriate, and I extend my sincerest apologies on her behalf.”
“Elmo!” Sigrid protested begrudgingly. “Why must you meddle in my affairs? You know nothing about this wretched woman!”
