Chapter 832
Chapter 835:
Sigrid had not anticipated that her brother, Elmo Olson, would grace Ploville with his presence.
Dismissing Sigrid’s protests, Elmo released his grip on her and stated firmly, “I have no interest in your exploits. However, I hope you can conduct yourself with grace and avoid tarnishing our family’s name.” With that, he turned his attention to Candice, adopting a gentler tone. “Pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Elmo Olson, and this is my business card.”
As Elmo spoke, he extracted a card from the pocket of his sapphire suit and extended it toward Candice.
Yet, Candice hesitated, refusing to accept the card. She had no desire to establish any connection with the Olson family, whether through Sigrid or her brother Elmo.
When he observed her reluctance, Elmo’s expression remained unruffled. He suggested, “Well then, perhaps you could give me your business card instead. I would like to extend an invitation for dinner, as a gesture of apology for my sister’s conduct.”
“No, thank you,” Candice declined firmly. She then cast an icy glare in Sigrid’s direction and declared, “Let this be the final warning! Should you persist in harassing me, I shall seek a court order to prohibit any further contact.”
Having said that, Candice turned away without a backward glance and strode toward the elevator.
Elmo watched her receding figure, her demeanor aloof and disdainful. He found himself captivated by this woman who dismissed him so effortlessly, refusing to acknowledge his overtures.
Letting rage get the best of her, Sigrid attempted to run after Candice and pick another fight with her.
However, Sigrid was abruptly yanked back by Elmo. “Sigrid, take a good look in the mirror. What sets you apart from a shrew now? Did you return to Ploville just to shame our family?”

“Elmo, you know nothing about her! Don’t lay blame on me!” Sigrid’s anger began to simmer down when she heard those words.
“Oh, really? Then who is she?” Elmo’s curiosity danced in his eyes.
“Just a mere lawyer, lacking any family lineage, without parents to boast of, and she foolishly thinks she can ensnare Milton. I just wanted to teach her a lesson. I did nothing wrong,” Sigrid said with disdain.
“So, she is a lawyer,” Elmo repeated with a mischievous smile, as if unraveling the mystery behind Candice’s mention of seeking a court order to prohibit any further contact. “What is her name?” Elmo asked.
“Candice Blake. A beautiful name, but beneath the surface lies a shameless nature! She’s even been through a divorce. How dare such a wretched creature seduce Milton…” Suddenly, Sigrid realized something and asked, “Elmo, why do you want to know her name? Are you also interested in her? Why did you come to her aid earlier without knowing the situation?”
