Chapter 925
Chapter 930:
Milton, however, had yet to make an appearance, evidently caught up in his own pressing tasks.
Moments later, Catherine herself emerged, presenting a meticulously crafted dress with pride. The engagement party dress differed from the wedding gown, displaying an elegant simplicity devoid of intricate lacework. Its design captivated Candice, for it resembled a seamless fabric masterpiece, devoid of any visible stitches, exuding an extraordinary allure. Adorned in a base color of pure white intertwined with delicate shades of pink, the dress emanated an aura of sophistication and ceremonial grace.
In an instant, Candice’s mind drew an analogy to the lotus. Just as the lotus petals remained pristine at their core, while boasting hues reminiscent of the sunrise at their tips, this dress too embodied a flawless beauty.
“You truly are the most talented designer in the world,” Candice uttered, awestruck.
Catherine smiled warmly, her voice gentle. “Please, try it on in the fitting room. I’ll gladly assist you.”
“Okay,” Candice replied, her usual disinterest in dressing shifting slightly towards anticipation.
She followed Catherine into the fitting room.
Catherine helped her take off her clothes and personally slipped the dress on her. The dress clung to her every curve, its hidden zipper almost imperceptible. It fit her perfectly.
“It’s exquisite. No adjustments necessary,” Candice commented, a note of satisfaction in her voice.
Catherine breathed a sigh of relief, her first task at the Royal Garden Corporation finally accomplished.
Just then, Milton’s voice resonated from outside the fitting room, inquiring about Candice’s presence.
“Is Candice here?” he called out.

A member of the design staff promptly responded, “Miss Blake is changing her dress. Please wait a moment. I’ll prepare some coffee for you.”
“No, thanks,” Milton politely declined, settling himself on the sofa.
Catherine cast an admiring glance at Candice, her eyes filled with genuine appreciation. “You look stunning. Mr. Lopez will be utterly taken aback when he sees you. Allow me to assist you with your hair,” she continued.
Catherine meticulously styled Candice’s long locks, her nimble fingers working through each strand. “Perfect!”
Gazing at her reflection in the mirror, Candice couldn’t help but feel a surge of confidence. She had never worn such formal attire before. The dress resembled those worn by models, distinct from ordinary garments.
“Well, you’re ready to make your grand entrance,” Catherine announced, stepping forward to respectfully open the door of the fitting room.
As the door swung open, Candice emerged, her steps purposeful and graceful.
She was simply breathtaking. Candice’s hair fell in silken waves, her complexion smooth as cream and cool as jade. Her artist-swept eyebrows framed eyes that shone like distant stars, and her graceful poise recalled a lotus in full bloom. The dress she wore was enchanting without a hint of flash or vulgarity—elegant, refined, and utterly captivating. Everywhere she moved, people seemed drawn to protect her, as though her very presence inspired tender devotion.
