Chapter 966
Chapter 972:
However, her perspective had shifted completely. Now, her sole focus was finding her parents’ murderer. Everyone involved that year, including Grady and Benson, had met their demise, and evidence from over three years ago had vanished without a trace.
After acquiring Centilength Biotech, Greyson had submitted the medical formula calculation process to the patent office as evidence. It revealed that the Blake Group’s alleged plagiarism of Denrn’s technology had been a set-up. Someone had intentionally bankrupted the Blake Group to purchase it at a reduced price. The patent office had approved this evidence, thus restoring the patent rights of her mother’s medicine and delivering justice for her mother. However, these revelations held no significance for Candice.
Grady and Benson were dead, but she knew they were mere scapegoats. The true manipulator remained elusive, and all leads had grown cold, leaving her with no clues. Justice had arrived too late.
“Greyson,” Candice said earnestly. “Please refrain from mentioning the shares again. Now that you’ve acquired the Blake Group, develop it and bring positive change to society with my mother’s medicine. That’ll be the greatest relief for me. That’s all you can do for me. As for uncovering my parents’ murderer, it’s my responsibility. Please don’t interfere.”
Her resolute refusal weighed heavily on Greyson’s heart.
He felt lost, uncertain about what more he could do.
At that moment, a sudden noise emanated from outside the door.
“Let me in. I saw him inside. Greyson, you are quite a vicious man. Come out!”
Hysterical roars emanated from outside.
Candice discerned the voice’s identity—it was Rachel.
Then, Leda’s voice intensified.
“You mustn’t cause a disturbance here,” she admonished. “These are the VIP wards; your actions may disturb the patients. If you require assistance, our specialized administrative reception department can help you.”
𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 𝙖𝙩:
“Fuck off! Do you know who I am?” Rachel’s voice seethed. “I am the mother of your principal! I also hold a stake in this hospital. How dare you obstruct me?”
As soon as her tirade concluded, Leda couldn’t stop her anymore. Rachel forcefully flung open the VIP ward’s door. She had doggedly trailed Greyson and finally cornered him.
Upon entering the room, Rachel berated, “Greyson, I’ve been deceived out of a considerable sum. Are you scheming behind my back?”
Greyson halted her at the threshold, taken aback by Rachel’s relentless pursuit into the VIP ward.
“I don’t understand what you are talking about,” he retorted. “You’re disrupting the hospital’s decorum. Please leave now, or I will be compelled to summon the authorities.”
Rachel clenched her teeth and widened her eyes, her appearance markedly deteriorated. She didn’t wear any makeup, her hairstyle was in disarray, and her garments were cheap.
