Chapter 115:
A sharp sound echoed as the balloon popped, louder than expected in the quiet space.
One followed after another. The second, the third, and more.
From where I stood in the shadows, I watched as they held each other closely.
Ivy leaned against his chest, her arms wrapped around his neck. The thin fabric of her dress pressed against her, making the outline of her figure more pronounced under the pressure.
Ethan’s palm stayed on her back, his fingers pressing lightly against the soft fabric.
That closeness struck me hard, and it became difficult to keep myself steady on my feet.

Cheers from their supporters burst out, their voices ringing loudly through the venue.
The director intentionally zoomed in, capturing how Ethan naturally held Ivy’s arm and helped her down the steps once the game ended.
At that point, the energy of the live broadcast reached its highest point.
Once the program wrapped up, all the guests were called back on stage for a group photo.
Staff rushed around, arranging everyone into position, turning the scene into a mess of movement and noise.
Keeping my head lowered, I stepped onto the stage and tried to slip into the least noticeable corner, wanting nothing more than to leave this behind.
Just as I was about to reach the edge, Ivy suddenly passed by me.
She moved too quickly, as if she wasn’t paying attention, and stepped on the hem of her own dress.
A sharp gasp escaped her as she lost her footing and tilted to the side.
Ethan reacted instantly from a short distance away and rushed forward to catch her.
Ivy collapsed into his arms, gripping his sleeve tightly. Her face turned pale, and she looked shaken.
“Are you alright?” Ethan asked in a low voice, his tone filled with concern.
“Yes. Thank you, Ethan.” Ivy steadied herself while leaning against him, then shot me a glance that carried a subtle challenge.
Ethan also looked at me briefly, his expression distant.
He guided Ivy toward the center of the stage.
Except for two senior representatives from the organizers, everyone else willingly stepped aside to give them space.
As the photos began, flashes went off nonstop.
At the very center, Ethan and Ivy stood together where everyone could see them clearly.
He stood tall and striking, while she looked graceful and captivating. In front of everyone, they appeared perfectly suited for each other, like a pair blessed by the Moon Goddess.
Meanwhile, I remained in the darkest corner.
For some reason, I felt nothing at all.
When the pain became too much, it simply disappeared.
Ethan’s POV
After the product launch event was over, I didn’t wait for Lianne to finish up and went straight to the underground parking garage.
I texted her. “I’m waiting for you in the underground parking garage.”
Thinking back on what had just happened made the veins at my temples pound.
The segment Lianne had arranged had all but turned me, the Alpha of the Thorn Pack, into a source of public entertainment.
