Chapter 501

Chapter 501:
He parted my lips and took my breath, hungry, greedy, as though he were trying to reclaim every second we had lost.
Forced to tilt my head back, I could only grip the fabric of his hospital gown. I didn’t dare push him away, worried that any sudden movement might worsen his injuries. But my restraint seemed only to encourage him.
His kisses grew more intense, filled with a possessiveness that bordered on obsession.
It felt like forever before Ethan finally pulled away. He rested his forehead against mine as he struggled to catch his breath.
Those dark eyes remained fixed on me, reflecting my flushed cheeks and dazed expression. A deep, almost frightening sense of satisfaction lingered within them.
“I’ve always liked seeing you like this, Lianne,” he said softly. His fingers brushed over my lips, his voice low and commanding. “Now that you’ve finally returned to me, I’m not letting you go. Once I’m discharged, I’ll take you back to the villa. You’ll stay there with me. No one else will get the chance to see you.”
Ethan’s POV:
That intense kiss seemed to drain Lianne’s energy.
She leaned against me, breathing unevenly, until her eyelids gradually grew heavy and closed.
Carefully, I lifted her into my arms, carried her to the hospital bed, then pulled the blanket over her.
She slept soundly. Maybe the constant worry she’d carried for me since arriving in Thiynia had finally worn her out. Or maybe the past few days of intimacy had finally caught up with her.

Ignoring my aching chest, I sat quietly beside the bed and watched her.
A beam of light slipped through the gaps in the curtains, bathing her delicate face in a soft glow.
She looked far too thin. Her pale face appeared even more fragile against the plush pillow.
But beneath that innocent face, her curves were enough to drive me insane.
My gaze drifted from her slender neck to her heaving chest.
Memories filled my mind. I remembered how perfectly she fit in my arms. I remembered the warmth of holding her close. Even during the four years we spent apart, those passionate moments had haunted my dreams, so vivid they hurt.
She was mine. She would always be.
A sudden vibration broke the silence.
Her phone buzzed on the bedside table.
Frowning, I immediately reached over and silenced it, not wanting anything to disturb the rest she so desperately needed.
My eyes fell to the screen. Tracy’s name was glowing on it.
Ethan’s POV:
Gritting my teeth against the pain, I slowly pushed myself out of bed with Lianne’s phone. I shrugged a jacket over my shoulders to conceal the blood-soaked bandages wrapped around my chest before stepping onto the balcony outside the hospital room.
I picked up the call, lowering my voice as a trace of impatience slipped into my tone. “Hello.”
“Lianne… can you do something about that jerk Jeremy?” Tracy’s tearful voice rang through the phone, thick with grievance. “He kept making fun of me and teasing me on purpose. He’s absolutely impossible!”
