Chapter 419:
For once, he did not jump out of the car immediately. Instead, he leaned toward the driver’s seat, those eyes so eerily similar to mine fixed on me with open scrutiny.
“Daddy, you’re acting weird today.” His tone was calm but certain. “Why did you bring Lianne home? You never bring outsiders there. You don’t even let people into your private space.”
My grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly. Things had already reached this point. I no longer wanted to keep pretending or continue these meaningless guessing games.
“Silas, that wasn’t your first time meeting her, was it?” I asked coldly. “Do you really think your acting was convincing? The way you looked at her in the villa wasn’t how you look at a stranger.”

Silas froze instantly. He opened his mouth, stammering awkwardly, “I… I just thought she was pretty—”
“She’s your biological mother, isn’t she?” I cut him off bluntly.
The moment the words left my mouth, I felt the air around Silas shift.
He sat there motionless, his heartbeat suddenly deafening inside the quiet car.
“No…” He tried to deny weakly.
Looking at his stubborn yet panicked face, an unfamiliar sense of weariness suddenly washed over me.
I slowly loosened my grip on the steering wheel, leaning back against the seat as I spoke softly. “She was the one who left me. Silas, I didn’t even know you existed back then. If I had known…”
The weakness in my voice sounded nothing like the ruthless, decisive Alpha everyone knew. There was even a trace of helpless pleading hidden beneath it.
Then suddenly, Silas’s small, warm hand reached over and gently wrapped around my fingers.
The unexpected touch made my heart jolt violently as I looked up at him.
Ethan’s POV
Silas gazed at me, his eyes tinged with red and stormy emotions brewing just beneath the surface.
That response alone said everything.
“Lianne… really is your mother?” My throat tightened painfully, my voice shaking so badly it barely sounded like my own.
Silas hesitated for several seconds before finally seeming to give up resisting.
He lowered his head and muttered quietly, “You have to promise not to tell her I said anything. Otherwise, she’ll take me far away again, and you’ll never find us for the rest of your life.”
I froze completely. Even though I had already guessed the truth countless times, the moment it was confirmed, the impact still hit me so hard my mind went blank.
“Why?” My breathing became uneven as I pressed urgently. “Why did she hide this from me? And your younger sister, she’s my daughter too, isn’t she?”
Silas gave a determined nod. “My sister’s name is Ruby. She takes after Mom more. And Frank is only Mommy’s friend. They were never mates.”
At that instant, Arthur let out a fierce, uncontrollable howl of joy inside my mind.
It was the instinctive cry of a werewolf who had finally found what was lost. Inside me, the overwhelming urge to tear through anything in my way and take back my family burned like fire.
