Chapter 804:
I stared through the window into the endless darkness outside. There was nothing in my eyes except cold fury and a madness simmering just beneath the surface. “Lianne will recover. I won’t let anything happen to her. If I have to bend for now, so be it. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her alive.”
Lianne’s POV
By the time Ethan and Jeremy came back from speaking privately, traces of icy tension still lingered across Ethan’s features. Yet the moment he reached my side, every bit of that hardness disappeared.
He lowered himself beside me and quietly took my hand, his broad palm wrapping around mine while his thumb traced slow circles over my skin, holding on so tightly it felt as if he was afraid I’d disappear the moment he let go.
“Is Tracy still in the operating room?” I asked, unable to look away from the closed doors.

“They’re almost finished,” he answered quietly.
Even then, his attention never left me, as though reassuring himself again and again that I was truly fine.
Moments later, the operating room doors finally opened. A nurse stepped outside with a tiny newborn carefully nestled in her arms.
Tracy had given birth safely to a healthy little girl.
My vision blurred as tears gathered in my eyes before spilling freely down my cheeks.
After everything we had survived, that tiny child felt like a miracle carrying hope into all the darkness.
“Congratulations, Tracy,” I whispered, my voice shaking as I watched her through the recovery room window. She looked exhausted, yet the happiness on her face eased the burden I had been carrying.
Despite her fatigue, Tracy’s playful spirit remained unchanged. She shot me a mischievous wink and grinned. “Lianne, don’t forget our deal. My little girl is going to grow up and become the Thorn Pack’s future Luna. After that, nobody will dare bully her.”
Her words made me burst into laughter, and I nodded without thinking.
Jeremy, however, immediately frowned. “No chance,” he said firmly. “My daughter isn’t getting promised to Ethan’s son.”
Ethan lifted one brow, amusement flickering across his face. “Already getting possessive?”
“You wouldn’t?” Jeremy shot back. “If someone started planning your daughter’s future marriage, you’d just smile and accept it?”
The amusement vanished from Ethan’s face in an instant. His expression darkened, fierce protectiveness flashing in his eyes. “Any boy who gets close to my daughter is getting punched,” he said, his voice low with unmistakable warning.
The joking eased the tension hanging over everyone for a brief moment. But once my nerves finally relaxed, overwhelming exhaustion swept through me all at once. Ethan noticed immediately and quietly brought me back to the villa.
The children had already fallen asleep, their gentle breathing filling the peaceful house.
As soon as we entered our bedroom, Ethan removed his suit jacket, still carrying the unmistakable antiseptic scent of the hospital.
He had never forgotten how much I disliked that smell. Even when our relationship had nearly fallen apart, he had always remembered the smallest things about me.
“You should eat first,” he said after changing into a comfortable shirt, his fingers brushing gently through my hair with effortless tenderness. “An empty stomach won’t do you any favors.”
