Chapter 351:
“Noah,” I instructed in a low voice, “arrange for her seat to be upgraded to first class. She needs a quieter environment and stable internet access.”
Then my eyes darkened slightly. “Also, activate all overseas contacts immediately. I want every recent missing-child report near Brinewick investigated.”
“Understood.”
I had no intention of bothering Lianne or letting her realize I was watching over her from nearby. But at the same time, I couldn’t simply stand by doing nothing.
If the child truly went missing, then I would mobilize every resource within the pack, even if it meant searching the entire world to bring the child back safely.
Lianne’s POV
The boarding announcements echoed repeatedly through the airport while I numbly followed the crowd toward the gate. Even as I walked, my fingers moved frantically across my phone screen, sending Frank a message. “Frank, please. If you find any clue about Silas, even the slightest possibility, tell me immediately.”
Frank replied almost instantly, “I’m sorry, Lianne. I can’t believe I failed to keep an eye on a child. I’m such an idiot.”
My chest tightened painfully. “Don’t blame yourself,” I quickly typed back while forcing down the tears threatening to spill. “You know Silas’ personality. Once he decides to do something, no one can stop him. This isn’t your fault.”
Guilt swallowed me whole.
For the past three years, I had worked desperately to give my children a better life. Yet somewhere along the way, I had neglected the loneliness and pride inherited from the Alpha bloodline inside Silas.

He must have missed me terribly to make such a reckless decision.
Even after I boarded the plane, my heart still refused to settle.
Just then, a flight attendant approached with a polite smile. “Miss Riley, you’ve been selected for a complimentary cabin upgrade. Please follow me to first class.”
I hesitated briefly. Under normal circumstances, I would have questioned something like this immediately. But right now, my mind was too consumed with Silas. Then a thought suddenly crossed my mind. “Does first class have Wi-Fi?” I asked quickly. “Can I access the internet during the flight?”
“Yes. First class offers satellite internet throughout the flight.”
Relief washed through me instantly. “Okay. I’ll go.”
I immediately grabbed my bag and followed her without another word. After settling into the spacious first-class seat, I connected to the internet as quickly as possible.
Just as I lowered my head to refresh the page, a tall figure suddenly passed by the edge of my vision. At the same time, a cold, familiar woody scent drifted faintly into the air.
My entire body froze.
Ethan?
I looked up abruptly, but the only thing I caught was a tall back disappearing around the corner ahead.
That straight posture, that distant, aloof silhouette. It looked painfully similar to the Ethan buried inside my memories.
I lowered my head and let out a self-deprecating laugh, lightly rubbing my forehead as my eyes stung faintly.
I really must be losing my mind. At a time like this, I was actually hallucinating Ethan’s presence again.
How could he possibly be on the same flight back to Brinewick?
