Chapter 556:
As for Silas, who was usually calm beyond his years, the moment he pushed open the study door and spotted the custom-built computer equipped with top-of-the-line hardware and a triple-encryption system, his eyes shone brighter than the stars outside.
He disappeared down the corridor even faster than Ruby.
I couldn’t hold back my laughter as I turned toward the man beside me. “You always know exactly what they like.”
“If I can’t win them over, how am I supposed to win you over?” Ethan teased.
Before I could answer, he slipped his arms around my waist from behind. His warm breath brushed against the side of my neck.

His hand slowly traced along my waist. His voice turned low, rough, and commanding. “Now that they’re occupied… no one will interrupt us.”
A tremor ran through me, sending a tingling sensation across my skin. I quickly caught his wandering hand and composed myself. “Ethan, stop it. The injury on your chest hasn’t completely healed.”
“Are you doubting my healing abilities?” With one eyebrow lifted slightly, a dangerous gleam flashed through his eyes.
Before I could object, he swept me into his arms and carried me straight toward the master bedroom.
Even with injuries that hadn’t fully healed, his energy far surpassed anything I had expected.
He held me against the soft mattress, every movement possessive yet tempered with care.
“I only wanted to test whether this bed is sturdy enough,” he whispered in my ear, sounding entirely shameless. “After all, we’re going to be living here for a while.”
After our wild lovemaking, I lay sprawled across the bed, completely exhausted. I was drenched in sweat and didn’t have the strength to move even a finger.
“It’s the middle of the day and we’re doing this… you’re unbelievable.” I glared at him with a pout, though I sounded soft and out of breath.
Ethan chuckled softly, looking very satisfied.
He lifted me from the bed and carried me into the bathroom, then turned on the water, prepared a warm bath, and thoughtfully added some drops of calming essential oils.
“The chefs and maids are waiting in the guest wing, and the children are being watched. The only person you need to worry about is me.”
Resting my arms on the edge of the bathtub, I watched him move about the room. A sudden thought crossed my mind, and I couldn’t resist teasing him, “Ethan, during these past three years… have you really been alone the entire time? Not a single noble lady managed to catch your eye?”
His movements paused instantly.
Lianne’s POV
The very next second, Ethan spun around, his hands on the edge of the tub, looming over me.
His eyes held a stubborn intensity as he spoke, every word clear and unwavering. “Lianne, listen carefully. From the beginning until now, you’ve been the only woman in my life. I hate that you don’t trust me.”
Ethan leaned closer until the tip of his nose brushed mine. “My body, my heart, even my soul, they all belong to you. The thought of anyone else touching me is enough to make my skin crawl.”
