Chapter 237:
There were some things I could not fully see from upstairs.
I had to see this wreck unfold in front of me.
By the time we went downstairs, the living room door had already been smashed open.
Ivy was standing in the doorway, nothing like the dazzling, immaculate star she always presented to the public.
She was soaked through, with wet hair plastered to her face, and her stained hospital gown hung from her body in a miserable mess. She looked utterly deranged.
“Ethan!” she shrieked the second we appeared, throwing herself toward him, but Ethan dodged her with ease.
She dropped to the floor, crying so hard her whole body shook. “Ethan, please… do not send me away. I do not care about being your Luna anymore. I do not care about status. Just let me stay, even if all I can be is a servant!”
With tears pouring down her face, she reached for Ethan’s trouser leg. “And my mother did everything because of me. Please, show mercy. She is old. She will never survive prison!”
“That is enough!” Ethan’s voice cracked across the room with a freezing edge. He stared down at her, his face stripped of all pity. “Ivy, I already gave you a chance. Your mother destroyed your last way out with her own hands. If you still refuse to leave, I will see to it that both the entertainment industry and the pack cast you aside. You will have nowhere left to go.”
Ivy went still and slowly looked up. The instant she saw my rounded stomach, the pleading on her face vanished and turned into raw hatred. “Lianne, you’re pregnant?”
I said nothing.

“Everything is ruined because of you! If this baby did not exist, Ethan would never have turned on me like this!”
A piercing, feral scream burst out of her. Her body twisted savagely, muscles tightening and bones shifting, until she changed completely into a wolf right there in the middle of the living room.
The gray wolf’s eyes burned crimson with rage as it hurled itself straight at me, its claws aimed at my stomach.
“You’ve got a death wish!” Ethan reacted at once, without shifting. In one swift motion, he seized the wolf by the throat and hurled her aside with brutal control.
Ivy slammed into the wall, let out a pained cry, and changed back into her human shape.
The maids rushed forward and hurriedly covered her shaking body with the torn clothes.
“Leave.” Ethan stepped between us, the force of his Alpha aura pressing through the room. “Disappear, or I swear I will kill you. Ivy, this is your last warning.”
Ivy collapsed where she stood. After a long silence, she dragged herself back up, unsteady and stunned, then stumbled out of the villa.
The living room sank back into an oppressive, heavy silence.
Ethan whirled to me, eyes scanning with sharp concern. “Are you hurt?”
I shook my head and let him lift me, carrying me carefully back to the master bedroom.
