Chapter 349:
At first, I assumed it was something work-related. But the second I opened his message, a chill shot straight through my body.
Frank said that after finishing filming, he had gone to check on Silas at my house, only to discover that Silas had disappeared. The only thing left behind was a handwritten note sitting on the table: “I’m going to find Mom.”
My entire face drained of color instantly. Cold sweat coated my palms.
“What’s wrong?” Brian immediately noticed something was wrong and instinctively reached out to steady me.
I instinctively avoided his touch before quickly shaking my head. “Something urgent came up at home,” I said hurriedly. “I need to leave immediately.”

I didn’t dare explain further.
Brian already knew about Ruby’s connection to Ethan. If he found out I also had a son, and that Silas was currently traveling here alone, he would absolutely interfere.
Silas was a secret I could never expose.
The moment I returned to the hotel, I rushed straight into my room, grabbed my belongings, and hurried toward the airport without stopping.
I needed to return to Brinewick and meet up with Tracy first. And if Silas wasn’t there, then I would have to immediately fly overseas to continue searching for him.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, I ran straight into Brian waiting in the hallway corner.
The second he saw my expression, his gaze sharpened. “Did something happen to your daughter?” he asked steadily. “Let me help. I know people at the airport who can access surveillance footage quickly.”
“No!” I rejected him almost too quickly, my voice tight with panic. “My daughter is shy and doesn’t like strangers. Besides, this is my family matter. I can handle it myself.”
I deliberately used Ruby as an excuse to conceal Silas’ existence.
There was absolutely no way I could let Brian discover that I had a son carrying the Alpha bloodline.
Seeing how determined I was, Brian didn’t insist further. “Then at least let me drive you to the airport,” he said quietly. “You’re too distracted to drive safely right now.”
My thoughts were already in complete chaos, and I no longer had the energy to argue. In the end, I silently accepted his offer.
During the drive, I barely spoke at all. I kept staring at my phone, my mind repeatedly replaying the image of Silas’ tiny figure wandering alone somewhere outside.
By the time we arrived at the airport, Brian personally carried my luggage and accompanied me through security, attentive to every detail. Yet I couldn’t force myself to properly thank him.
The moment I sat down in the departure lounge, I immediately called Frank. My voice trembled badly. “Have you found him yet?” I asked desperately. “Any news at all?”
“No.” Frank’s voice was unusually serious. “Lianne, stay calm first. Silas deliberately took his passport with him before leaving. He planned this in advance.”
My heart sank heavily.
