Chapter 660:
“This is our business!” Jeremy fired back in anger. He stepped in front of Tracy, shielding her with his body. “Who are you to question me? Stop interfering in our relationship!”
“You want to fight?” Frank’s fists clenched at his sides. The veins on his temples bulged, and every muscle in his body tensed as though he were ready to throw a punch at any second.
“Frank! Please calm down!” I shouted in panic, grabbing the sleeve of his suit to stop him. “It’s your birthday! Tracy is pregnant. Have you thought about what could happen if you start a fight? We can talk this through. Please don’t escalate things.”
A suffocating silence settled over the room. The only sound was Tracy’s quiet sobbing.
“Frank… please don’t be angry…” Tracy leaned weakly against a chair, her voice so fragile it made my heart ache. “I really did think about breaking up with him before. I even made an appointment to terminate the pregnancy. But everything’s okay now. We’ve decided to keep the baby. My parents still don’t know, so please, help me keep this from them. I’m begging you. They must not find out.”
“You were going to terminate the pregnancy?” Frank’s voice suddenly rose, filled with shock and anger. He glared at Jeremy with cold eyes. “You actually left her to deal with all of that on her own? Jeremy, can you even call yourself a man?”
Jeremy immediately defended himself. Though he didn’t sound very confident, he continued standing firmly in front of Tracy. “I already told you, it was all a misunderstanding!”
“Come outside with me,” Frank said suddenly, standing up and smoothing his rumpled suit. His voice was calm but chilling. “Let’s not scare Tracy by doing this in front of her.”
Lianne’s POV:
Fear gripped me so tightly that my heart pounded wildly against my chest. I rushed over, caught hold of Frank’s arm, and whispered anxiously, “Frank, it’s your birthday today. Please stop this. I’m begging you.”
Frank looked at me, and the murderous glint in his eyes softened for a brief moment.

He patted my hand and muttered, “Don’t worry. I gave you my word. I won’t hit Jeremy.”
As Frank walked out of the private room with Jeremy following behind him, all the strength seemed to leave my body. I sank back into my chair and tried to comfort Tracy, who was still sobbing.
About fifteen minutes later, the two of them came back.
To my surprise, although the atmosphere was still heavy with tension, they somehow managed to keep things civil on the surface.
Even so, the birthday dinner that should have been filled with laughter ended in nothing but silence and discomfort. Before long, everyone called it a night.
By the time we walked out of the restaurant, the evening air had turned noticeably colder.
“I’ll take you home,” Frank said as he stood beside his car, his eyes filled with warmth.
My first instinct was to turn him down.
It was already late. If someone we knew saw us together, the gossip would start.
