Chapter 130:
A few rounds later, the damned bottle spun again and stopped with its mouth aimed straight at Ethan once more.
“Truth again?” Mark rubbed his palms together, his eyes bright with excitement. “If it wasn’t Ivy just now, then who was your first time with? You can tell us that much, can’t you?”
The whole room broke into hoots and teasing, and every eye turned to Ethan.
My heart pounded hard against my chest, and my palms were damp with cold sweat.
Ethan kept his eyes on the empty glass, his face giving nothing away.
He said nothing at all, only lifted the shot glass before him and knocked back three drinks one after another.
The others immediately started whispering, trying to guess which woman could make the Alpha hide it this fiercely.

I dropped my gaze and mocked myself in silence.
He wasn’t going to say it. He probably felt that saying my name would only humiliate him.
Before long, the bottle stopped in front of me.
“Truth,” I said, drawing in a deep breath and doing my best to keep my expression steady.
Mark leaned forward with a loaded grin. “Lianne, now that you’re single, let’s make it interesting. Your ex, or rather, that boyfriend of yours, what was his size like? Was it big enough?”
The private room instantly filled with suggestive laughter.
My face burned hot. From the corner of my eye, I caught Ethan lazily swirling the wine in his glass, yet the atmosphere around him had sunk to a frightening low.
“Yes,” I squeezed out, giving a careless answer just to put an end to the awkward questioning.
“Ooh!” Everyone cheered even louder.
I seized the bottle and spun it with force. It drew a clean curve across the table, then slowly came to a halt with its mouth pointing at Ethan.
It was him again.
“Truth,” Ethan said, his low voice deep and compelling.
Just as the others were about to throw out some obscene question, I spoke before they could.
I met his eyes and asked the question that had been lodged in my heart like a thorn for so long. “How did you and Ivy first meet, and how did you end up together?”
Ethan placed his glass on the table, his eyes fixed somewhere far away. When he spoke, his voice carried the weight of fate. “She saved my life. When I had fallen to my very lowest, standing at death’s edge, she pulled me back.”
That answer landed on me like a hard slap across the face.
The hand I had wrapped around the glass shook violently.
I had saved him too.
When his legs no longer worked and the silver poison tortured him until he longed for death, I was the one who stayed with him day and night.
Why was Ivy the only person he remembered saving him?
Just as I was being swallowed by a surge of sadness and self-doubt, my phone vibrated inside my bag.
I took it out and saw a message from Ethan. “Big enough, huh?”
