Chapter 203:
“Stay away from Ivy, you filthy bitch! Trash like you, without even a wolf, has no right to become Luna!”
I stared at the filth flooding my screen, a cold shiver creeping through me as my hands began to tremble.
My work number had been exposed.
And it didn’t stop there. The moment I opened my social media, my inbox was completely overrun.
Thousands of hateful messages poured in, painting me as the manipulative villain who had shattered Ethan and Ivy’s so-called perfect love story.
I leaned back in my chair, my face drained of color, a suffocating sense of injustice rising within me.
Just because I had once loved Ethan, just because I still held on to that empty title of his mate, did that mean I deserved to be judged and condemned by everyone?
A wave of nausea climbed up my throat, and I rushed to the restroom, doubling over as I retched violently into the toilet.
The overwhelming pressure was beginning to wear down my body.

I steadied myself against the sink, weak and unsteady, staring at my reflection, eyes rimmed red, face pale and worn. My hand instinctively rested over my lower abdomen.
“Baby, I’m sorry. I let you down,” I whispered, gently rubbing my stomach as if to soothe both of us. “Don’t be scared. I’ll protect you. We’ll leave this place soon.”
I forced myself to regain composure, borrowed Bella’s phone to send out a group message explaining my number had been leaked, then shut my phone off.
At that moment, the office door opened.
Ethan stepped inside, looking noticeably worn, faint shadows lingering beneath his eyes.
“There was an urgent issue at the office yesterday, so I had to stay late. That’s why I got back so late,” he said in a low, serious tone as he walked toward me.
I looked at him, feeling nothing but emptiness. An urgent issue? Such an obvious lie, yet he delivered it without hesitation.
“What do you want?” I asked, avoiding his eyes, my voice distant and cold.
Ethan’s brows drew together, clearly displeased with my indifference.
After a brief silence, he said, “I’ve already had people investigate what’s been happening online. The one who leaked your personal information and paid others to attack you is Nancy.”
Nancy? I hadn’t expected her resentment toward me to run that deep.
“What are you planning to do about her?” I asked.
Lianne’s POV:
Ethan held my gaze, his eyes searching mine. “Say the word, and I can erase Nancy from this circle for good.”
“She works under you. She belongs to your pack.” I lowered my eyes, my voice stripped of feeling. “That decision is yours to make. You don’t need my approval.”
Ethan moved forward slowly until he was standing in front of me. He lifted a hand, his fingertips brushing lightly against the loose strand of hair near my temple.
“I’m sorry,” he said under his breath.
Another apology.
He always reached for those same words whenever he wanted to smooth everything over and bury it.
I was beyond tired of hearing them.
