Chapter 341:
I deliberately avoided answering that question and instead shifted the conversation back to work. “Brian, I left the Power Group dinner without telling the executives last night. I’m worried it might affect future cooperation. Once I’m feeling better, I plan to go apologize to them personally and see if I can still salvage the partnership—”
“There’s no need for that.” Brian gave a cold snort, and there was an unsettling edge to his voice when he continued. “I already beat their CEO.”
My entire body stiffened instantly. Both panic and anger surged through me at once. “Are you insane?” I blurted out. “They’re one of our biggest business partners! How could you act so recklessly?” I clenched the phone tightly, my frustration growing stronger with every word. “Now the entire collaboration is probably ruined!”
“Anyone who dared to force alcohol on you will face the consequences!” Brian’s voice was low and unwavering, carrying a dangerous certainty. “Lianne, I won’t let this slide. I came to Queen District overnight, and I’m already at your hotel.”
When I returned to the hotel, I found Oscar and Bella standing nervously outside my room like children who had made mistakes, waiting to be punished.
The moment they saw me, both of them rushed over apologetically. Bella looked so worried that her eyes had already turned red.
I quickly reassured them, telling them to go back and rest. What had happened last night wasn’t their fault.
By the time I entered my hotel room, Brian was already inside, waiting for me. The moment he saw me, he strode over quickly, his sharp gaze sweeping over my body as though trying to inspect every inch of me.
“Are you absolutely sure all you did was get drunk and sleep last night?” His expression darkened as he stared directly into my eyes. “Lianne, those bastards from the Power Group drugged your drink.”
My mind instantly went blank.
I had been drugged.

If that was true, then the unbelievably vivid dream about Ethan last night, could it actually have happened?
No, that was impossible. Ethan was supposed to be far away from Queen District. There was no way he could have suddenly appeared in that restroom.
I forced myself to suppress the panic rising inside me and desperately tried to recall last night. But after entering the restroom, everything became a blur.
The only thing I knew for certain was that when I woke up this morning, my clothes had been changed, yet my body didn’t feel violated.
“I think the alcohol suppressed most of the drug’s effects. I probably just slept it off,” I replied, forcing composure into my voice. “Since we now have leverage over the Power Group, we can use this opportunity to negotiate better terms for the contract—”
“Is work really all you care about?” Brian suddenly grabbed my wrist tightly, his emotions visibly slipping out of control. “They drugged you! They deserve to pay for it!” His breathing grew heavier as he spoke. “Come with me to the hospital right now. You need to be examined. I need to know whether anyone touched you last night.”
“Brian! Let go!” Annoyance surged through me as I forcefully shook off his hand. “I already said I’m fine! I know what happened to my own body!”
