Chapter 354:
“Manipulated?” Jeremy sounded completely stunned. “Seriously, why would I do something like that? That kid showed up at the Voss Group headquarters this afternoon, specifically asking for you. The security guards were shocked because he looks so much like you, so they brought him straight to me. He’s with me right now.”
My chest tightened instantly. A strange mix of fury and protectiveness rose inside me. “Where did you take him? A bar?”
“Uh… yeah. My friends wanted to meet the little version of you…”
“Jeremy!” I shouted, the veins at my temples pulsing violently. “How could you bring a child to a bar! Get him out immediately! Book a hotel room, arrange people to guard him twenty-four hours a day, and don’t let anything happen to him. I’m catching the earliest flight back tomorrow morning.”
After ending the call, I leaned heavily against the headboard while a dull ache throbbed inside my skull.
I forced myself to think back to everything that happened three years ago, searching through every memory, trying to figure out where this child had come from.
But besides Lianne, I had never been with any other woman. If the child truly belonged to me, then there was only one possibility.
That unbelievable thought popped up in my mind again.

I stood up and immediately headed for Noah’s room.
Noah had obviously already fallen asleep. After being woken up so suddenly, he looked dazed. He sounded groggy and confused. “Alpha? What’s going on?”
“Noah, answer me carefully this time.” I stared straight at him, unable to hide the urgency in my voice. “You told me before that Tracy was with a child. Are you absolutely certain it was a girl?”
Noah froze briefly before nodding with certainty. “I’m sure. The child had little braided pigtails and was dressed in pink. Anyone could tell at a glance she was a girl.”
My heart skipped a beat. “Then… did she resemble me at all?”
Noah paused for a second, then shook his head honestly. “Not really. She looked more like Tracy. Her features were soft and delicate. I couldn’t see any resemblance to you.”
The tiny spark of hope inside me was extinguished instantly.
Every expectation I had was ruined in an instant.
If the child beside Tracy was a girl who looked nothing like me, then who was the boy in Jeremy’s photo, who was my spitting image?
Could there really be such a coincidence in this world? A child completely unrelated to me who just happened to have my face?
“Alpha, are you okay?” Noah asked carefully after noticing how pale I had become.
“I’m fine. Get some rest.” I dismissed him before turning and walking back to my room.
After lying down on the bed, I realized there was no way I could fall asleep.
Lianne’s uneasy expression and the cold, distant face of the boy in the photo kept appearing in my mind over and over again.
Was all of this merely a cruel trick of fate? Or had some shocking secret been hidden within those missing three years, one powerful enough to turn my entire life upside down?
