Chapter 446:
“Don’t let any of them get away,” I ordered coldly.
Behind me, Noah and the Thorn Pack’s elite warriors rushed into the warehouse, quickly overpowering the remaining thugs.
Then I turned my attention toward Ivy, the woman responsible for Lianne’s suffering.
Ethan’s POV
“Ethan… don’t come any closer! Stay where you are!” Ivy’s face had gone deathly pale as she staggered backward, terror filling her eyes while she stared at my bloodstained figure.
She reacted instantly. Bending down, she snatched up the silver dagger lying on the floor, its blade gleaming with a strange bluish sheen. Grabbing Lianne by the hair, she jerked her upright and pinned her tightly against herself.
The silver dagger, coated in poison, was pressed firmly against Lianne’s slender throat.
“Back off! Tell your men to retreat!” Ivy shrieked, her voice warped by panic. “If anyone takes another step, I’ll kill her and myself together! This blade is covered with concentrated silver. If it slices her artery, no one could save her!”
I stopped immediately.

Lianne looked incredibly fragile, her eyelids barely able to stay open. Seeing her in such a condition pushed my sanity to the brink.
“Release her.” My voice carried unquestionable authority, cold and absolute. “Ivy, this is the last warning you’ll get. Let her go, and I’ll make your death quick.”
“A quick death?” Ivy burst into hysterical laughter, as though I’d told the most absurd joke imaginable. Her hand trembled around the dagger, and the blade grazed Lianne’s neck, opening a thin cut.
A streak of crimson slowly spread across the silver edge.
“Don’t hurt her!” My eyes blazed while ice flooded my veins. Watching the woman I loved suffer while I stood powerless was ripping me apart.
I subtly signaled Noah to move behind Ivy.
Not long afterward, Ruby and Tracy, who had been bound farther away, were safely rescued.
“Daddy… save Mommy… please!” Ruby’s voice was raw from crying, and hearing her call me Daddy felt like a knife through my heart.
She was my daughter. Yet at this moment, I couldn’t even spare her a glance.
Every thought, every ounce of my attention, remained fixed on the woman trapped in Ivy’s arms, hovering between life and death.
“Ethan, look at me!” Ivy clutched Lianne’s hair tighter, her voice breaking into a near-hysterical sob. “Do you have any idea how much humiliation I’ve endured for the Thorn Pack over the last three years? How many dangers I protected you from? I thought if I worked hard enough, you’d finally recognize my worth. But what do I get in return? You’re ready to kill me over a woman who disappeared for three years!”
“I’ll take responsibility for everything.” I inhaled deeply, forcing myself to stay calm while searching for an opening. “Ivy, I’m the person you hate. Let her go. Hurt me if you want. Kill me if you want. Just don’t hurt someone innocent.”
