Chapter 592

Chapter 592:
“Lianne’s father was murdered. Rola arranged everything.” Her voice rang through the warehouse. “He became too powerful. Too dangerous for your future as Alpha of Thorn Pack. Rola feared he would take Lianne away from you and weaken the bloodline she wanted preserved. So she destroyed his life piece by piece. She ruined his business and cornered him until he had nothing left. And when that wasn’t enough, she manipulated his doctor to make sure he died.”
The world around me seemed to stop. My lungs locked. For one horrifying moment, it felt like the ground itself had shifted beneath my feet.
Ethan’s POV
Ivy bent toward me until her lips nearly brushed my ear, every syllable dripping with malice. “Rola made the doctor finish off Lianne’s father. Do you even know what they used? Mercury. Ten milligrams alone can torture a full-grown man to death. Rola demanded five times that amount.”
Fifty milligrams.
The figure slammed into me so hard my knees almost gave out.
How monstrous did someone have to be to murder someone this way? The mercury would have invaded every inch of his body, eating away at him while he remained awake enough to feel himself dying piece by piece.
Ivy studied my bloodless expression, delight twisting her features. “There was never any hope for him. Nothing in this world could have saved him. So tell me, Ethan… what happens when Lianne learns the woman who raised you murdered her father? What happens when she discovers that the influence your family enjoys was built on his corpse? She’ll despise you. She’ll want to rip you apart herself and throw your corpse to the dogs.”
Her words crashed through my skull like thunder.
Suddenly, everything around me dulled into emptiness.
The only thing left was Ivy’s shrill voice drilling into my head. My sight warped, the room spinning until all I could make out was her crazed grin beyond the steel bars.

Everything else disappeared.
“No… no, that can’t be real.” Even my own voice sounded unfamiliar, ragged and weak.
My mind rejected the claim instantly, clinging to denial out of pure terror.
Again and again, I forced myself to believe Ivy was lying.
Rola was ruthless, yes. Ambitious beyond reason. But she and Harold had always treasured Lianne.
They had spoiled her endlessly.
She was treated like royalty within the Thorn Pack. They gave her prestige, protection, and the finest upbringing imaginable.
How could those same people possibly be responsible for her father’s death?
Then Ivy shattered what little certainty I still had.
Ivy gripped the bars tightly, triumph blazing in her eyes. “It’s all true, Ethan! You seriously believed they loved her? That kindness was never genuine. It was control. Rola destroyed her father, then wrapped Lianne in comfort until she felt grateful to the very person who ruined her life. Brilliant, isn’t it?”
Her tone sharpened viciously, every sentence striking like a hammer. “And sooner or later, she’s going to uncover everything. Rola thinks erasing that recording protected her? Secrets don’t stay buried forever. Somewhere out there, somebody could still have that footage. Maybe they’re waiting for the perfect moment to watch the two of you fall out.”
Pressure coiled around my chest so violently it felt like invisible hands were crushing my lungs.
Each breath tore through me. Pain crawled through my nerves, spreading from my spine into every limb.
