Chapter 659:
“Frank, it’s your birthday today. Please don’t be too hard on them,” I said gently, hoping to ease the mood. “Tracy has always respected you. In fact, she’s a little afraid of disappointing you. That’s why she’s been avoiding you lately. I really don’t want your relationship with her to become distant because of this.”
“If it wasn’t something important, there’s no way she’d ever get back together with that womanizer after they broke up,” Frank said. His hands tightened around the steering wheel as he asked, “You know the reason, don’t you?”
I paused, watching the colorful neon lights streak past the window. After struggling with the decision for a few moments, I quietly shook my head. “This is Tracy’s personal business, Frank. If there’s anything you need to know, it should come from her. As her friend, I shouldn’t speak for her.”
Frank gave me a brief, searching look, his eyes seeming to try to read my thoughts. But after a moment, he accepted my silence and didn’t ask again.
Not long after, we arrived at the restaurant.
The moment the car came to a stop, I noticed a bright red sports car parked near the entrance. It was Jeremy’s.
The air around Frank instantly turned heavy.
His eyes locked onto the sports car, and the annoyance on his face was palpable.
“Frank,” I said softly, placing a hand on his arm. “It’s your birthday today. Don’t lose your temper. Let’s not make things awkward for everyone. Besides, we’re all friends.”
“Jeremy and I are not friends,” Frank replied with a cold snort. But when he saw the worry in my eyes, he slowly drew a deep breath and tried to calm down. “Alright. Since you’re asking, I’ll keep my temper under control tonight.”
He led me to the private dining room he had booked.

When he opened the door, the room was empty except for two jackets casually draped over the backs of the chairs.
“They must have stepped out for a minute,” I said, pointing at the jackets.
We sat down, and as the waiter filled our glasses, the private room door opened.
Jeremy walked in with a frown, carefully helping Tracy inside. Her face was unusually pale, and she looked so weak she could barely stay on her feet.
Frank immediately sprang up and hurried over to them. “Tracy, what happened? Why do you look so sick?” he asked, worry etched across his face.
Before Tracy could respond, Frank turned to Jeremy, his eyes sharp and his voice frigid. “Is this how you take care of her? You brought her out for dinner, and she ended up in this condition?”
The air in the room instantly grew thick with tension.
Tracy was obviously shaken by Frank’s outburst. She grabbed his sleeve, and what little color was left in her face faded further.
Her voice quivered as she quickly explained, “Frank… don’t blame him. It’s my fault. I’ve just been feeling sick because of the pregnancy.”
Frank stood in stunned silence for a moment. Then he turned back to Jeremy with a stern expression. “You knew she was suffering from pregnancy sickness, and you still didn’t take care of her?”
