Chapter 677:
The profile picture showed an off-road vehicle, and the attached note read, “Jeremy here. You’ll be joining us at the resort, right?”
It looked like Tracy had finally passed along my contact information.
I smiled softly, let out a quiet sigh, and accepted.
The moment we connected, Jeremy sent an elegant digital wedding invitation.
A voice message arrived immediately after, overflowing with excitement. “Tracy’s parents finally gave us their blessing. We’re getting married next month. Lianne, you’re definitely our maid of honor. We’ve also chosen Silas and Ruby to be the flower kids. It’s going to be amazing.”

Seeing Tracy’s bright smile on the invitation filled me with genuine happiness.
Finding lasting love and building a happy future together was something incredibly rare.
I answered without hesitation, “Don’t worry. Nothing could keep me away from Tracy’s wedding.”
As I browsed the guest list, my finger stopped when I reached Ethan’s name, and my chest tightened before I even realized it.
I wanted to casually ask Jeremy when Ethan would be back, but the question refused to leave my lips.
I didn’t want it to sound as though I’d been waiting for him.
Jeremy seemed to sense exactly what I was thinking and sent another message. “Why not come with us to the resort this weekend? Tracy’s pregnancy hasn’t been easy, and she really wants a change of scenery in Brinewick. Just think of it as spending time with her.”
I was still trying to come up with a reason to decline when a screenshot suddenly appeared in the chat.
I stared at it, completely stunned.
Lianne’s POV:
It was a reservation confirmation from the resort. My name was clearly listed, and my room had even been arranged right beside the suite where my children would be staying.
A message from Jeremy followed soon after. “No refund after booking. Lianne, don’t make things difficult for us.”
Staring at the screenshot, I gave a helpless little chuckle.
Jeremy and Tracy really did share similar traits. Once they made up their minds about something, they were relentless.
I had never been good at turning people down. Everything had already been arranged, and refusing now would only make me seem unreasonable.
After sitting in silence for a while, I finally replied, “Alright.”
I set my phone aside and quietly looked out the window.
Brinewick was the town Ethan and I had once called home. Every corner of it held memories that would always have a place in my heart.
Deep down, I understood that these peaceful days together were only temporary.
The moment Ethan found another mate and started a new family, whatever remained between us would eventually come to an end.
When that day came, I would no longer have any reason to stay close to the children the way I did now.
The precious time we still had together was slipping away gradually.
On Friday evening, the villa halfway up the hill was bathed in the sunset glow.
