Chapter 721:
I left myself no chance to turn back. I met his stunned gaze with unwavering determination and enunciated each word clearly. “I want nothing to do with Thorn Pack anymore. That includes you.”
The moment those words left my lips, every bit of strength seemed to leave my body.
The faint hope still lingering in his eyes disappeared completely, leaving behind nothing but hollow despair.
His grip on my arm slowly weakened.
With no effort, I freed myself from his grasp.
A heavy silence settled over us.

After what felt like forever, he lowered his head. His long lashes hid whatever emotions were in his eyes, and when he finally spoke, his voice was chilling. “You should go.”
I didn’t say goodbye. I couldn’t even bring myself to look at him one last time. I walked firmly toward the door.
With every step I took, one thought grew stronger. I had to leave Ethan.
The moment I walked out of the villa, tears filled my eyes.
“Lianne, go back! Go back to Ethan! You can’t live without him!” Anna’s sorrowful cries echoed through my mind, pulling at my reason. She struggled desperately to break free, longing to return to Ethan’s warm arms.
But I forced myself to stay strong. My fingernails dug so deeply into my palms that blood slowly trickled out.
I could not look back. If I did, I knew I would never find the determination to avenge my father.
Holding a bouquet of white chrysanthemums still covered in morning dew, I made my way to my father’s grave. They had always been his favorite flowers when he was alive.
The weather had been bright and peaceful when I arrived. Yet the moment I bowed before the cold stone monument, the sky suddenly darkened. Thick clouds gathered overhead.
“Dad, I’ve finally learned the truth,” I whispered, gently running my fingertips across the faded photograph carved into the headstone.
My throat felt heavy, and every word I spoke carried a bitter taste. “I’m sorry. I learned the truth far too late. But what makes me feel even more ashamed is that I truly fell in love with Ethan. He’s the grandson of the person who killed you. The man who should have been my greatest enemy became my fated mate. I couldn’t stop myself from falling in love with him, Dad. I’m sorry.”
I took the thick case filing notice from my bag and carefully laid it in front of the headstone.
“The lawsuit has officially been filed. I’ve prepared myself for either outcome.” My eyes fell on my father’s soft smile in the photograph as my expression grew firm. “If the law gives you the justice you deserve and Rola receives her punishment, then I may give up everything to win Ethan back. Even if I have to crawl on my knees and beg for his forgiveness, I’ll do it. But if we don’t get justice…”
