Chapter 803:
“We’re leaving.” I forced the words through gritted teeth before snatching up the vial and marching out of the warehouse.
During the drive back to the hospital, Noah stayed silent for most of the trip. Finally, he glanced over with concern. “Alpha… shouldn’t we have the doctors examine it before using it? If Melisa…”
“That’s unnecessary,” I replied, cutting him off.
Melisa calculated every move with frightening precision. She understood that Lianne’s survival was the only thing keeping her alive. She also knew I would erase her entire bloodline without hesitation if Lianne died.
The antidote took effect far sooner than I expected.
As the blue solution traveled through the IV line into Lianne’s veins, the lifeless color drained from her skin. Warm color slowly returned to her cheeks, and before long, every monitor showed her condition stabilizing.

Her eyelids fluttered before she gradually came to. Confusion clouded her eyes for only a second. The instant she recognized me, she ignored her own condition entirely. Grabbing my hand tightly, she asked in a panicked voice, “Tracy… what about Tracy? Did she deliver the baby?”
Watching her wake up, only to worry about someone else instead of herself, made an ache settle deep inside my chest.
I still couldn’t force myself to reveal the truth.
Lianne was barely holding herself together after everything she’d endured. If she discovered that the doctor she admired and trusted had actually been the one responsible for destroying her life, I feared what little strength remained in her heart would crumble beyond repair.
“She’s okay. Jeremy’s with her,” I answered softly, lowering my forehead until it rested against hers as I breathed in the comforting scent that was uniquely hers.
I had underestimated the danger. I thought bringing Lianne back to the villa and removing anything she could hurt herself with was enough. I never considered that the greatest threat would arrive wearing the kindest smile.
Melisa, just like Rola before her, had finally revealed the monster beneath her disguise.
“Ethan, I want to see her.” Lianne tugged lightly on my sleeve, her quiet voice filled with hope.
A helpless sigh escaped me. I simply couldn’t refuse her.
Without a word, I slipped one arm beneath her knees and another around her back, lifting her into my embrace. Ignoring every nurse calling after us, I carried her straight toward the operating room.
Once I had settled Lianne into a chair, I motioned for Jeremy to follow me. We stopped at the far end of the corridor before I finally spoke.
“So Melisa was the one behind the poisoning?” Jeremy exploded, the muscles in his arms tensing as he drove his fist into the wall. “That woman is out of her mind! I’ll deal with her myself!”
“Enough.” My voice carried enough authority to stop him instantly. “She’s the only one with the antidote. Lianne needs it every month. Right now, I can’t make a move against her.”
